American online Poker master Tyson “POTTERPOKER” Marks won the incredible amount of $2,278,097.50 playing 2010’s massive World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) championships tournament, an event that during that year attracted an astounding 2,443-entry player field.
Marks’s win meant that he walked away victorious and with the lion’s share of the $12,215,000 prize pool. Equally amazing is that during the entire stint at the final table, Marks never once relinquished his chip lead.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko – $1,715,200.00
The year was 2009 (only a year prior to Marks’ big score) and it belonged to the hottest player that year on the online Poker scene: Russia’s Yevgeniy “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko; possibly the hottest player in the world at the time. The man who would eventually go on to win his biggest career live score in the spring of 2009, bested an online player field 2,015 strong playing the main event of the 2009 WCOOP online championships. His booty? A cool $1,715,200.00.
Jonas Lauck – $1,517,541.25
The 3rd place on our list belongs to none other than German Poker stud Jonas “IIJaYJaYII” Lauck, for having won the https://onlinepokiesnz.co.nz/visa/ 2016 WCOOP Main Event, along with a sweltering $1,517,541.25 in prize money to boot.
What’s more, Lauck’s 2016 victory proved the perfect sweet treat ending to a summer that saw him make his way into the final 37 players in the previous year’s Main Event, before his aces were made to bow down to an ace-king combo with only 4 tables left to go.
David Kaufmann – $1,493,499.15
Number 4 for the score belongs to fellow-German David “PlayinWasted” Kaufmann. The year was 2013 and the player field 2,133 players strong. None proved as skilled or favoured by luck than our man Kaufman as he made his way across 26 hours’ of play stretched over two days and a deal just a couple of bucks shy of one and half million big ones.
Best of all is that the deal agreed to at the final table saw to it that all three final players involved walked away with more than a million dollars each.
